Just how to Protect Your DSLR Camera Lens From Dirt, Mold and Scratches

I have been a wildlife and journey shooter using Rule equipment for approximately 25 years now. Through the years, I purchased the vast majority of Canon's cropped and full body cameras and their EF and EF-S lenses. Spring is ultimately here and several photographers are gearing around go out to their favorite places and begin clicking up a storm.

As a few of you might know, my choice is traveling light on photograph launches and usually hold move in place of primary lens. There's an endless discussion on the picture quality of qualified prime vs. contact lens but also for my applications, the difference is with no variation and I'll allow the problem dictates the contact as opposed to the other way round. The following contacts are a number of my recommendation, produced from years of experience out in the subject on picture shoots. They're our view and will not support every situation or photographer's needs. My Canon Landscape and Wildlife Lens Advice:

Cannon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS - A great value and all round contact for vacation, landscape and wildlife photography. That lens is obviously on my EOS-1D X or EOS-1D Mk IV cameras when I get vacation or closeup wildlife shots. It gives exemplary created and image quality at a fair price. The key plans and speed are well suited for indoor and outdoor firing conditions even though IS offers only a 2 end advantage. I would want to see Rule bring out a Collection II variation with the latest films and a 4 stop IS system.

Rule EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II - That contact is perfect for broad viewpoint landscape photos on complete frame cameras just like the 1Ds Mk III or EOS-5D Mk III. Additionally it serves as a flexible travel lens on the EOS-1D Mk IV as well. Very sharp and fast. Can be utilized inside when display photography is prohibited. Adding IS to the contact would have been a nice supplement but that will include extra weight. If cost is a thought, then I'd recommend the Rule EF 17-40mm f/4L lens.

Rule EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS - This is my favorite EF-S lens and will go great with the EOS-7D camera as an over-all purpose lens. Not an inexpensive lens nevertheless the created and image quality is high quality and the continuous aperture across the move range is great for acquiring photographs in reduced gentle conditions.

Canon EF 8-15mm f/4L Fisheye - Having its distinctive focal length range, that contact may be the widest fisheye contact lens available on the market. It gives 180° straight position of see images for many EOS SLR cameras with imaging forms which range from full-frame to APS-C, and offers 180° round fisheye pictures for full-frame EOS models. I make use of this contact to image whales and different marine animals when I'm in the water. To do it appropriately, I take advantage of my EOS-1D Mk IV camera with the contact and the AquaTech underwater housing, capped with a dome contact interface for maximum direction of view. On land, this very large position contact may record spectacular character images and promote creativity.

Rule EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II - Super sharp and rapidly lens for up close wildlife action, providing around 4 prevents of correction and repaired aperture at all central lengths. I used that contact for a long time and the latest variation is the better yet. A fantastic contact for closeup, low mild journey and wildlife photography and works well with both the 1.4X and 2.0X extenders. Very steadily built and stands up to high quality subject use.

Rule EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6L IS - I presented down getting that lens for some time because the EF 70-300mm DO was this type of disappointment for me. The additional achieve and lighter fat ( compared to the EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II ) of this contact will come in useful when I'm photographing bigger wildlife in respectable light. Outstanding 4 stop IS compensation. Yet another great lens for cetacean and wildlife photo shoots. The disadvantages are extenders cannot be used on this contact and it does not come with a focus ring.
